Competitor Analysis
Competitor Analysis
For the competitor analysis of the Gleo app, I examined similar platforms that facilitate community engagement and volunteer activities. Key competitors include apps like GoodWall, VolunteerMatch, and Goodworld. These platforms excel in connecting volunteers with causes, providing seamless interfaces for managing and promoting events, and offering robust tools for tracking impact and donations. However, Gleo differentiates itself by combining these features with a unique challenge-based approach that gamifies participation, and the ability for users to transition between roles (user, brand, and activity partner). This flexibility and focus on community-driven challenges offer a fresh take in the NGO space, setting Gleo apart from traditional volunteer and sponsorship platforms

User Interview
User Interview
The user interview was mainly the call with the client and understanding their requirements for the app. After thoroughly studying the competitors, I jotted down some of the ideas that could be potential features of their app. During the next call, I pitched some of those ideas to them, some were removed and some they interested to see it to fruition.

I usually find activities through
social media or word of mouth.
It would be great if the app
notified me of nearby events that
match my interest
I would like to be rewarded with cash or any other form of incentive after completing a challenge or an activity.
I’d like to organize events that promote environmental awareness, such as clean-up drives or tree-planting activities.
I’d like to see a community post
where users like me and many others can post about the events they have attended or any upcoming events that are about to happen.

Gleo offers an integrated platform designed to streamline the interaction between NGOs, brands, and users. The app enables activity partners to easily create, manage, and promote challenges, allowing volunteers to participate by completing tasks and submitting proof, such as photos. Brands can seamlessly sponsor these activities, gaining visibility and engagement with socially conscious audiences. Users, in turn, can effortlessly discover and join meaningful challenges, contributing to causes they care about while earning rewards. Solution

Thank you for your time !
Here’s a heart for your time.

Gleo is a versatile mobile application designed to connect users with a variety of activities and events organized by activity partners and practitioners. There are mainly four types of users, The general user, Brands:- They sponsor activities. Activity Partners: They can conduct challenges and activities, and Practitioners:- They can also conduct activities and challenges, but they can also participate in these events as a normal user.
The app also provides a platform for brands to sponsor these activities, enhancing their visibility and engagement.
The core objective of Gleo is to facilitate meaningful user participation in activities that span across six impact areas: health, ecological, social, civic, and more. Users are incentivized with Gleo coins and other rewards for their participation, fostering a vibrant and active community.
Project Overview
NGOs and social organizations often struggle with effectively engaging volunteers, raising awareness, and securing sponsorships due to fragmented and outdated management methods. Brands seeking to support social causes face challenges in finding transparent and impactful platforms for engagement. The absence of a centralized, user-friendly platform for activity partners to manage challenges, brands to sponsor events, and users to participate in social initiatives hampers the success of these efforts. Gleo aims to address this by creating a cohesive platform that connects NGOs, brands, and users, fostering collaboration and maximizing social impact.

In designing Gleo's visual identity, we opted for a pastel color palette featuring soft hues of orange, purple, and green, balanced with classic black and white accents. This combination evokes a sense of warmth and inclusivity, aligning with the app's community-focused mission. The typography choice, NEUS HAAS GROTESK DISPLAY, adds a modern and clean aesthetic, ensuring readability and a consistent visual language across all touchpoints.
